A bill has been introduced into tho Florida (U.S.A.) Legislative Assembly to make it unlawful to call girls “flappers” on the ground that such a name was derogatory to the dignity of the State’s womenfolk. The proposer, in introducing the bill, said: “I resent the reference to the young women of Florida that they are like a house, painted in front, shingled in the back, and empty in the attic, and I trust this measure will meet with serious consideration.” The resolution has been duly placed on the calender for further consideration.
